Which languages are offered at UCSD?

Can't find the language you want? Try one of these options

  • Independent study : Directed study in over 60 languages (Albanian to Yoruba) using tapes and/or software in the Linguistics Language Program lab.
  • Distance learning: Videoconferencing with a teacher and students at another UC campus. Languages vary by quarter but have included Finnish, Swahili, Swedish, and Uzbek.
  • IR/PS Language Program : Courses primarily for IR/PS students in languages of the Pacific Rim (Latin America and Asia).
  • Programs Abroad Office Information on language programs abroad, either through UC's Education Abroad Program or UCSD's Opportunities Abroad Program.
